I recently had the pleasure of having a conversation with someone who is relatively new to youth soccer leadership circles but I think has an important role to play in the years ahead – Michelle Mullman. With a diverse background in corporate customer experience, many years of sideline experience as a mother to athletes, and a recent Doctorate in Business Administration with a focus on youth sports, Michelle brings a refreshing perspective that youth soccer leaders would benefit listening to.

I’m especially intrigued by Michelle’s ideas for involving the whole community. The idea is to not only help individual youth soccer clubs thrive, but to the whole youth soccer community in a given area. The more that we care about, and learn from, the perspective of all stakeholders – players, parents, coaches, club staff, local parks & rec, schools, etc. – the more insight we have into how to build consistently great programs.
